SuperPlan offers Minnesota employers one easy-to-administer health plan that features two provider networks: a broad open access option and a smaller high-performance option we like to call the SuperTier. Doctors, clinics and hospitals in the SuperTier demonstrate efficient, high-quality care. When members choose SuperTier providers, they save money on out-of-pocket expenses such as deductibles and copays.
Employee choice and the option to save
With SuperPlan, members don’t have to choose one network or the other at enrollment. Instead, they can visit any provider in either network at any time. That allows families greater choice and flexibility. If one family member prefers a clinic from the open access network, the other members can still save money with SuperTier providers.

There are two open access networks. Groups choose either Complete or Horizon. Complete, our largest network, includes Mayo Clinic/Hospital (St. Mary's and Methodist Campus) or Horizon, also comprehensive, but excludes Mayo Clinic/Hospital (St. Mary's and Methodist Campus).
SuperTier uses the Connect network. Connect includes M Health Fairview, North Memorial Health, Hennepin Healthcare, M Health Fairview University of MN Masonic Children’s Hospital, and other popular independent clinics throughout the metro area.
SuperPlan helps supercharge agency sales
Foster White Agency in Monticello, Minnesota, is on a roll. When they shop health insurance for employers, for instance, Foster White’s agents compare all carriers, a practice that helps them find the best rates and keeps them on top of the industry’s most innovative products and features.

And it’s easy to sell, according to Kelly Holme, also a vice president at Foster White. She said the agency has placed more than 20 groups with SuperPlan. “A lot of groups already have high-deductible plans, so giving employees an easy way to reduce their expenses just makes sense. It’s a new concept but it’s simple for members to understand and use. Especially since most people are already familiar with the high-performance doctors, clinics and hospitals in their communities.”
